The vanilla flavor of this bourbon is highly delicious and authentic. The vanilla absolutely does NOT overwhelm the fine 86 proof bourbon. I was skeptical when a friend gifted me my bottle but I am now fully on board. This product belongs in any fine bourbon collection.
Had this bottle at a friend's gathering and had to get my own. Just a shame that my state is too backwards to stock it in the liquor store. Great product!!!@
it has a very smooth taste I enjoyed it in an Old fashion.
The bourbon was great from smell, taste, and its full body flavor was outstanding.
I purchased Edmond‘s Honor whiskey as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and it was a huge hit from the first sip. He really appreciated the smoothness and well balanced flavor. It has a rich full body without being overpowering with subtle notes that make an enjoyable whether sipped neat or on the rocks. He was genuinely impressed and has already said that he will be purchasing more in the future definitely a. Definitely a great choice for anyone looking for a quality whiskey. That feels special, but still approachable highly recommend.
The bourbon is a solid buy. It features prominent vanilla notes and a complex, well-balanced flavor profile that appeals to both novices and aficionados. It is an accessible everyday pour that is also an excellent choice for hosting.
However, the brand narrative is unbalanced. The emphasis on Edmond Albius feels like a shield of historical trivia rather than a meaningful jumping off place. The product is strong enough to stand on its own; lean into that more.
The copy needs technical depth: the mash bill, aging duration, and distillation process. Furthermore, if a goal is to highlight black ownership, the Albius story must evolve from a marketing hook into a legacy of modern impact—such as an Albius scholarship or internship program. Without a direct link to uplifting others today, the narrative merely exploits Albius again, turning him into a gimmick rather than an ancestor for whom we, the living, are currently responsible.
This is a very pleasant bourbon, and the vanilla notes are no joke. They aren't simple, either. Not just vanilla, but like a cognac with vanilla notes. It's an interesting bourbon and worth your time.
